Mercana is one of North America’s leading home furnishings wholesalers, with interior designer and retail partners around the globe. As a “design-first” company, we produce unique pieces for the home each season including items such as wall art, furniture, lighting and home decor accessories.
Mercana is looking for 4 individuals to help greet customers, take orders, and work with our in-house Sales Reps at the Highpoint Market. This will be an hourly paid position of $20.00 /per hour. Individuals must be available from October 23-39, 2025.
- Training will be provided: Thursday, October 23 and Friday, October 24
- Shift Dates: Saturday, October 25th – Wednesday, October 29th

General Job Requirements
Greet and engage with trade show attendees in a friendly and professional manner
Help facilitate customer inquiries and get them the service they need
Become familiar with Mercana Furniture Décor (about us & high-level product information), showroom layout, Mercana staff and sales reps,
Capture customer comments and feedback each day and share with sales team/supervisor
Physical Demands – requires prolonged periods of standing, walking, and movement throughout the Showroom. May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling and be required to lift/move boxes of hospitality products, a variety of merchandise or branding materials.
Responsibilities
Guest Services
Scan showroom attendee badges and learn their motivations for their visit to help customers find the dedicated sales rep to support them through their visit
Assist customers and respond to inquiries; facilitate customer and sales team introductions
Hospitality
Help maintain the overall showroom appearance and exhibitor branding & sales materials
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the showroom/kitchen throughout the event – trash removal, dusting/sweeping as required
Ensure hospitality areas are always fully stocked and organized
Act as host/hostess, making & serving coffee/popcorn/snacks
Other
Any additional tasks assigned by the sales team / supervisor
Capture customer comments and feedback each day and share with sales team/supervisor at end of each shift
Requirements / Preferred:
Out-going, enthusiastic, friendly, and motivated personality
Effective communicator, self-starter, organized, team player
Promote a professional image (professional casual business attire – no jeans or shorts, no mini skirts, no crop tops; appropriate footwear for being on feet all day)
Previous Highpoint Market tradeshow experience preferred
Customer Service/Hosting experience and/or Sales Experience in Wholesale or Retail is helpful
Interest in Home Furnishings & Décor, Interior Design, style & trends is a plus
Ability to work independently as well in a team environment
Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions – open communication with showroom sales reps

Lunch and beverages will be provided daily
No cell phones allowed on the sales floor
Parking is not covered
